Overview
Waters Corporation is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Content Strategist with copywriting skills to join our team. This role is responsible for crafting high-quality, engaging content that enhances Waters storytelling and digital presence. Working closely with Campaign Marketing and reporting to the Head of Creative, the Content Writer will translate complex scientific information into clear, compelling, digital-friendly, and user-centric content that effectively communicates the value of Waters products and applications.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and own content strategy and messaging across the organization, creating integrated storytelling campaigns that span all digital channels - including Waters.com, blogs, email, social media, and collateral materials
  • Partner with Campaign Marketing, Corporate Communications, and the Creative Services teams to ideate and produce content aligned with corporate messaging and strategic initiatives
  • Partner with Product teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and relevance of all content
  • Transform technical and scientific content into accessible, customer-focused copy optimized for engagement (click-through rate, time on page, and reduced bounce rate)
  • Write, edit, and proof a wide range of content including whitepapers, application notes, product copy, campaign messaging, blog posts, case studies, and executive communications
  • Translate complex scientific and technical information into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences including researchers, lab managers, procurement teams, and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Identify content gaps and opportunities based on market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights
  • Support lead generation efforts through gated content, nurture sequences, and SEO-optimized web copy

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in content strategy, copywriting, or a related role - biotechnology, life sciences, or a related scientific field strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone and complexity for different audiences and formats.
  • Strong understanding of the biotechnology landscape, including familiarity with research workflows, instrumentation, or biologics development.
  • Experience developing content for B2B audiences and multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Experience working with and maintaining a consistent brand tone/voice and style guide
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices, content management systems, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in English with a focus in Life Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with analytical chemistry, liquid chromatography, or mass spectrometry (or a related field)
  • Experience supporting a product rebrand or corporate brand alignment initiative
  • Experience using project management tools, such as Jira and Monday.com
