Job description

Our client, a world leader in biotechnology and life sciences, is seeking a "Payroll Accounting Analyst" based in Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid).

Duration: Long-Term Contract (Possibility Of Further Extension)
Company Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Sick Leave, 401K

Job Summary:
This role supports payroll accounting operations, financial reconciliations, and payroll system activities. The ideal candidate will have experience with payroll accounting, general ledger postings, account reconciliations, Workday Payroll, and financial controls.

Responsibilities:
โ€ข Perform payroll accounting and general ledger postings
โ€ข Conduct payroll and bank reconciliations
โ€ข Support payroll funding and settlement activities
โ€ข Investigate and resolve payroll accounting discrepancies
โ€ข Assist with month-end close activities
โ€ข Support Workday payroll testing and system updates
โ€ข Maintain compliance with payroll controls and audit requirements
โ€ข Partner with Payroll, Finance, HR, and Banking teams

Qualifications:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
โ€ข 3+ years of payroll accounting or payroll operations experience
โ€ข Experience with Workday Payroll preferred
โ€ข Strong general ledger and reconciliation experience
โ€ข Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
โ€ข Experience with SAP, payroll systems, or banking reconciliations is a plus
โ€ข CPP certification preferred
