Job description

Our client is seeking a Channel Sales Manager to develop, manage, and grow strategic channel partnerships across the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, academic research, and broader life sciences markets.

This role serves as the primary commercial liaison between the company and its distribution partners, resellers, and strategic alliances. The ideal candidate brings a strong scientific foundation and the ability to communicate effectively with research‑oriented customers. Sales experience is helpful, but the company is open to training candidates who possess the right scientific background.

Responsibilities:

  • Support product launches, promotional campaigns, and channel enablement programs.
  • Ensure channel partner compliance with organizational policies and contractual obligations.
  • Manage sales forecasts, pipelines, and business plans using CRM and business intelligence tools.
  • Develop and execute channel sales strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share goals.
  • Identify, recruit, onboard, and support distribution partners, resellers, and strategic channel relationships.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, scientific meetings, and customer events.
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence, competitive insights, and emerging trends to internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with channel partners to assess performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Drive revenue growth through consultative selling, opportunity identification, and expansion of existing partner relationships.
  • Collaborate with partners on customer engagement activities, product demonstrations, training programs, and joint sales calls.
  • Lead commercial discussions including pricing strategies, contract negotiations, rebate programs, and partnership agreements.
  • Create joint business plans with channel partners, including sales objectives, demand‑generation activities, and performance metrics.
  • Work cross‑functionally with Marketing, Product Management, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Customer Service teams to support growth initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners and scientific customers, including research labs, universities, and biotech companies.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Strong relationship‑building and consultative selling skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales pipeline management.
  • Ability to understand and communicate scientific concepts and terminology.
  • Familiarity with biotechnology, life sciences, scientific research, or related environments.
  • Experience interacting with research labs, academic institutions, or scientific customers.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends and partner performance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related life science field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing channel partners, distributors, or resellers.
  • Experience with pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and market intelligence.
  • Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally across commercial, operational, and scientific teams.
  • Experience in life science commercial roles (reagents, consumables, lab products, diagnostics, research tools)
