Job description

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Technician II (Associate) who will be responsible for performing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC troubleshooting and repairs on production machinery in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. This role supports daily operations, performs preventive and predictive maintenance, and ensures equipment reliability to minimize downtime and maintain safe operations.

Responsibilities:

Equipment Troubleshooting & Repair

  • Perform welding, cutting, and basic fabrication as needed.
  • Use electrical/electronic testing equipment to identify issues.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC‑controlled systems.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

  • Document maintenance activities and equipment status.
  • Perform scheduled PM and predictive maintenance tasks.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce scrap and improve equipment performance.

Equipment Installation & Upkeep

  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery and production equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical drawings.
  • Operate hand tools and shop tools (drill press, grinders, band saws, hydraulic press, etc.)

Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain clean and safe work areas.
  • Follow lockout/tagout, machine guarding, and all safety procedures.
  • Support compliance with manufacturing quality and safety standards (IATF, ISO)

Team Support & Communication

  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Assist in training junior maintenance associates.
  • Communicate equipment status to supervisors and team members.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Proficiency with hand tools and shop equipment.
  • Welding and fabrication experience (gas/electric)
  • Technical degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems.
