Strategic Sourcing Specialist โ€“ Hybrid | Biotech Procurement

Franklinton, NC (Hybrid)
$28.00/hour
Mondayโ€“Friday | 8:00 AMโ€“5:00 PM

We're looking for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join a growing procurement team supporting a fast-paced biotech manufacturing environment. This hybrid opportunity is perfect for someone who enjoys building supplier relationships, developing sourcing strategies, and supporting critical manufacturing operations.

Ideal candidates will have experience with strategic sourcing OR procurement supporting chemicals, raw materials, biologics, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities
  • Develop sourcing strategies for direct materials and key suppliers.
  • Manage supplier relationships, RFQs, negotiations, and supplier performance.
  • Analyze spend data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance teams.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and uninterrupted material availability.
  • Monitor procurement metrics and help resolve supply issues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or category management.
  • Experience in biotech, biologics, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or other regulated manufacturing is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and procurement/ERP systems.
