Driven by a belief that infectious disease diagnosis should be quick, accurate, and accessible to all, Visby has developed the world’s first single-use PCR platform that disrupts the traditional model and redefines the way infectious disease is tested and treated.

About the role
Visby is seeking a Fractional Chief Financial Officer to help scale the business, and, alongside the CEO, to lead the company through a transitional period as Visby enters the OTC market with its unique, real time PCR OTC product. This role is designed as a 30–40% fractional engagement for an experienced finance executive who thrives in dynamic, resource-conscious environments.

How you’ll make an impactĀ 
Actively participate in the development of strategic corporate goals while empowering the executive team and board to make risk‐informed, data‐driven decisions.Ā 
Serve as the lead spokesperson for financial results and strategic milestones. Serve as the lead spokesperson for financial results and strategic milestones. Build and maintain deep relationships with equity analysts, venture/PE partners, and institutional investors.Ā 
Serve as the primary interface to the audit committee of the Board of Directors; present financial andĀ  operational plans to the Board. Provide confidence and assurance to the Board regarding the Company’sĀ  operations through transparency, integrity and professionalism.Ā 
Support the growth of the business through comprehensive due diligence and skilled financial analysis ofĀ  potential acquisitions and other strategic investment opportunities.Ā 
Improve the quality, timeliness, and reliability of financial analysis and key performance metrics availableĀ  to executive management and the Board, including forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation in allĀ  functional areas.
Ensure compliance, clean audits, proper reporting and controls.Ā 
Motivate and lead a high-performance team of financial and accounting professionals.Ā Ā

On your first day we’d like you to have
15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience in growth-stage or operationally complex organizations..Ā 
Capital markets expertise required. The ideal candidate will be known to the relevant analyst community.
Smart, collaborative and able to communicate clearly. Can talk through difficult issues with colleagues and make decisions based on evidence and argument, not ego or title.Ā 
Comfortable and able to operate successfully in ambiguous and rapidly changing growth environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA, CPA, or equivalent preferred.

Experience within medical devices, diagnostics, biotech, manufacturing, or similarly regulated industries preferred.
