Job Purpose

As a Scientific Writer & Digital Engagement Manager, you will help shape how Artidis communicates its science to clinicians, researchers, healthcare providers, industry partners, investors, and the broader life sciences community. You will translate complex scientific and clinical concepts into clear, engaging, and evidence-based content that supports our commercial growth and clinical adoption in the United States.

Working closely with our Scientific, Clinical, Commercial, Marketing, and Executive teams in Houston and Basel, you will develop high-quality scientific content across publications, digital channels, conferences, customer communications, and business development materials.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and distribute scientific and commercial content for a wide range of audiences.
  • Understand how to effectively reach clinicians, researchers, customers, investors, and industry partners (scientific media, social media, email marketing etc.)
  • Develop publications, white papers, application notes, brochures, case studies, website content, infographics, newsletters, and social media.
  • Support manuscripts, conference abstracts, posters, presentations, and scientific publications.
  • Translate complex research into compelling stories for clinicians, researchers, customers, investors, and industry partners.
  • Interview scientists, clinicians, and customers to create engaging scientific content.
  • Support product launches, clinical implementation, market access, and business development with high-quality scientific communications.
  • Ensure scientific and regulatory accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all communication materials.
  • Stay current with developments in oncology, cancer diagnostics, precision medicine, and health technology.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in scientific writing, medical writing, science communication, or scientific marketing within biotechnology, diagnostics, medical technology, or healthcare.
  • Outstanding scientific writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex research into engaging content for our audiences.
  • Hands-on experience managing scientific communication across digital channels, including LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
  • Curious about communication trends and excited to learn and grow with AI-powered content creation, analytics, and evolving social media algorithms.
  • Strong understanding of scientific publication practices and familiarity with regulatory requirements governing communications in the medical technology or healthcare industry.
  • Experience supporting manuscripts, conference presentations, publications, and product launches is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interviewing, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Highly organized, proactive, with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, growing organization.
  • Experience in a biotechnology, diagnostics, or MedTech company transitioning from clinical development to commercial launch is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
