Job Duties & Responsibilities:

As a PET/CT Research Collaboration Scientist, major responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

ยท Supporting scientific collaborations at luminary institutions and driving collaborative research results leading to impactful publications, external grant applications, and/or patent applications

ยท Driving the publication of results at conferences and in world-class journals

ยท Identifying, building, and foster strong collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the region

ยท Supporting the future PET/CT product development pipeline โ€“ coordinating both with internal development teams and research partners for the development, comprehensive evaluation, and testing of prototypes and new products

ยท Keeping customers and collaboration partners informed and up to date about United Imagingโ€™s technologies

ยท Execute research contracts with support from legal, regulatory, and compliance

Requirements:

Qualification & Requirements:

ยท Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Nuclear Engineering, or related fields

ยท A strong clinical and/or technical background in the field of PET/CT with a proven track record of scientific publications

ยท Familiarity with one or more of the following areas of expertise: kinetic modeling; PET data acquisition/corrections; image reconstruction; artificial intelligence

ยท Proven ability in driving research projects, clinical trials, and collaborative studies

ยท Excellent communication and presentation skills

ยท Professional proficiency in written and spoken English

ยท Willing and able to travel up to 30% including short term international trips

Magnetic Environment Exposure:

This position requires working in an environment where strong magnetic fields may be present. Employees may be exposed to powerful magnets, electromagnetic equipment, or other devices that generate magnetic fields.

Additionally, employees with implants, medical devices, or foreign objects containing ferrous metals within their body (e.g., certain surgical implants, pacemakers, or metal pins) may be at risk and must disclose any such conditions to their supervisor prior to starting work.
