Hamilton Company is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support, repair, and maintain robotic instrumentation. The ideal candidate will work in the field and support the Boston, MA location and surrounding areas. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be tasked with providing high-quality customer support through instrument installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Responsible for new equipment installation.
  • Perform preventative maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair Hamilton equipment.
  • Report problems and perform root cause analysis on instrument failures.
  • Regular commute to and from customer sites with ability to navigate within the region. Must follow traffic laws and correctly route themselves, ensuring on-time arrival at customer site.

  • A high desire for quality.
  • Demonstrated experience working in the field as well as corporate setting.
  • Ability to train non-technical personnel on highly technical material.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a safety conscious manner necessary due to potential hazardous chemicals and biologicals.
  • Ability to learn new robotic operating systems.
  • The FSE must possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License. Must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check.
  • Must have personal, reliable transportation with valid registration and insurance that can safely transport necessary equipment.

  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in a related discipline from a regionally accredited, not-for-profit university.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electronics, electrical, mechanical, and computer systems.
  • Experience in technical field service and working with customers in the life science, clinical, or pharmaceutical field is preferred.
  • Experience in automation or similar field is required.
  • Being fluent in English, both written and spoken, is required.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move approximately 60 lbs.
