About Rogue Valley Microdevices

Rogue Valley Microdevices (RVM) is a U.S.-based microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and thin-film foundry headquartered in Medford, Oregon, founded in 2003. The company processes customer-supplied wafers from prototype through pilot and mid-volume production, serving customers in biomedical and life sciences, industrial and environmental sensing, aerospace and defense, and advanced communications. RVM is registered under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and is developing a second facility in Palm Bay, Florida, that will add 200mm and 300mm capacity as it comes online. The Medford facility operates a Class 100 cleanroom supporting wafer sizes from 50mm to 200mm.


Position Summary

The Process Engineer II is responsible for the day-to-day processing of customer-driven MEMS and lithography projects and for supporting the process equipment those projects require. The role spans wafer-level work from starting substrate through dicing and includes developing improvements in process performance, tool capability, and product performance. The engineer will conduct independent development work, with opportunities for white paper collaboration.

The position also carries a training responsibility. The Process Engineer II delivers internal presentations to process technicians and provides hands-on instruction as required.


Key Responsibilities


Process Engineering

โ€ข Develop new processes and tooling capabilities in support of internal processing

โ€ข Execute assigned customer-specific projects and coordinate with the project manager to maintain


customer visibility into progress

โ€ข Support the production team in troubleshooting process issues and basic equipment issues

โ€ข Document and communicate robust processes and design of experiments (DOE) results

โ€ข Provide technical support for engineering work performed by process technicians

โ€ข Support the transfer of customer device fabrication processes from engineering to production


Quality

โ€ข Revise Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) as procedures change

โ€ข Conduct regular presentations to maintain current technician training

โ€ข Maintain the integrity of the quality management system (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001
