Job Summary
The Department of Biology seeks candidates qualified to teach courses at any level of instruction in the department curriculum. This is a part-time, pooled position filled on an as-needed basis.
Essential Job Functions
  • Teach courses at assigned times using current pedagogical methods, keeping accurate records of students' grades.
  • Maintain effective and timely communication with students, chair of the department, and composition director.

Minimum and Desired Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Applicants should have an earned graduate degree in Biology or other relevant teaching discipline.

Supplemental Information
Key Competencies:
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to implement effective and innovative teaching strategies.

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift 25 lbs and be able to perform a variety of physical tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, stair climbing, and walking between buildings.
