The Student Academic Assistant I will support the instructor of GEOG 2129W - Biogeography through some combination of the following:
  • Grade student assignments and provide constructive feedback.
  • Hold regular office hours to support student learning and answer questions.
  • Communicate with students as needed regarding course-related issues.
  • Assist with tracking class attendance and participation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Standard Position Description
The student will assist in supporting courses, administrative academic functions, and student success in the relevant course or subject area. Tasks may include: Checking class attendance and participation, grading assignments, taking notes during class, supporting student success in the class, and preparation of course materials. Special projects or duties may be assigned related to specific office needs.
*Graduate students performing teaching functions or supporting courses with student interaction must be hired through the Office of Graduate Student Assistantships and Fellowships.
