Green Energy Biofuel LLC (GEB) is a recycling company that specializes in supplying biofuel feedstock to the largest biofuel producers in the world.

Job Description

Our Winnsboro, SC facility is looking to hire an experienced Class A licensed truck driver to service our clients' used cooking oil needs in a safe and timely manner. This is a full-time position, day shift position. You will be home on nights and weekends!

Job Responsibilities
  • Complete pre-trip and post trip inspections of vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues. Report Issues to management.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
  • Ensure vehicles and equipment are clean, safe and kept in working order including knowledge of mechanics sufficient to make minor repairs while on the road.
  • Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment immediately.
  • Ensure route documentation such as fuel purchases, mileage records, required by state and federal regulations are maintained, correct and complete.
  • Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions or other emergencies, or in the event of irregularities relating to loading or delivery of materials.
  • Complete daily trip log via ELD software and submit reports of mileage covered at the end of day
  • Maneuver truck into loading and unloading positions
  • Collect used cooking oil (UCO) from client receptacles based on routes, transport UCO to appropriate locations for processing, and accurately log information into the database.
  • Be prepared to add stops during route for emergency pickups as needed
  • Collect samples from collection bins according to Sampling SOP as directed
  • Assist with various plant projects and system operations at the plant when not driving.
  • Other duties as assigned
Route Responsibilities
  • Assess the collections bin, and the surrounding area for spills, theft and damage.
  • Take pictures of any issues, i.e. missing locks, or stickers, damaged and leaking bins, spills or excessive mess on or around the bin.
  • Take care of anything you can within reason. Replace locks, stickers, clean grate and top of the bin.
  • Take a sample and a picture of a sample.
  • Collect the oil and record volume.
  • Make notes of any issues, and if a sample was retained for testing.
  • Record volume collected, upload pictures of any issues, and make notes about collection sites, samples and any other work performed.
Position Requirements
  • Proven work experience as a commercial truck driver
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
  • No recent moving or driving violations, clean MVR
  • Willingness to submit to a background check and drug tests
  • Valid Class A CDL driving license with tanker endorsement
  • Ability to drive a truck with manual transmission
  • Adaptability and willingness to handle a variety of plant projects and system operations
  • Support the Company's sustainability values and strategies
  • Follow all company policies and procedures according to Handbook

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee has to be able to frequently enter and exit a truck and lift and carry in excess of 50 pounds. This is a day shift position, Monday through Friday. This employer participates in the federal E-Verify program to confirm the identity and employment authorization of all newly hired employees.

Compensation: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
