Job description

Biomedical Technology Education Incentive Program

United Health Services (UHS) is proud to offer a unique opportunity for a Degree in Bio Medical Technology through our BioMed Education Incentive Program. This initiative provides financial support for Bio Medical Technology education in return for a work commitment within the UHS system upon graduation. Participants will gain early exposure to healthcare environments while pursuing their degree, positioning them for a successful transition into a Bio Med Tech role.

Selected participants will receive full or partial tuition support while completing their Bio Medical Technology degree. In return, recipients agree to fulfill specific educational, employment, and participation commitments within UHS Hospitals (Wilson Medical Center or Binghamton General Hospital).

Work Locations:

UHS Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY

UHS Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, NY

There is more than one location associated with this position. This is either because there are multiple openings at different sites, or the successful candidate will be required to float across multiple UHS facilities. Your recruiter and hiring manager will clarify expectations during the interview process.

Primary Work Shift:

Rotational

Compensation Range:

$0.00 - $0.00 per hour, depending on experience

You will be eligible for benefits if you are hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours.

Participant Commitments:

  • Successfully complete all BioMed program requirements within the agreed-upon timeframe.

Employment Agreement:

  • Accept and begin a Bio Med Tech position within 60 days of graduation.
  • Commit to continuous employment at UHS for a duration based on tuition support received:
    • 2 years of tuition = 2 years of employment
    • 3 years of tuition = 3 years of employment
    • 4 years of tuition = 4 years of employment

While Enrolled:

  • Work part-time or per diem (based on availability) within the UHS system during school enrollment.
  • Adhere to all mandatory training deadlines, including eLearning modules.
  • Comply with all UHS policies and Standards of Performance.

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in an accredited Bio Med program.
  • Eligibility and acceptance into the UHS Bio Med Education Incentive Program.
  • Commitment to clinical excellence, professionalism, and patient-centered care.
  • Willingness to work within the UHS system while attending school and post-graduation.
