Job description

Bindery Associate

Millennium Print Group is seeking an experienced Bindery Associate to support our finishing operations by producing high-quality printed products in a fast-paced commercial printing environment. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring bindery equipment, including automated cutters, folders, and saddle stitchers, while ensuring products meet customer expectations and MPG's quality standards.

The Bindery Associate will operate equipment efficiently to support production goals while monitoring product quality, minimizing waste, and reducing rework. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, make adjustments, and perform routine maintenance in a timely manner.

This role is also responsible for following all standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and housekeeping expectations to help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support the overall success of the department.

What You'll Do

  • Set up, operate, and monitor bindery equipment, including automated cutters, folders, and saddle stitchers.
  • Produce high-quality finished products that meet customer requirements and MPG quality standards.
  • Monitor product throughout the production process to ensure accuracy, consistency, and overall quality.
  • Make equipment adjustments, diagnose issues, and troubleshoot problems to minimize downtime.
  • Perform required equipment maintenance in a timely manner.
  • Work efficiently to meet production expectations while minimizing waste and rework.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and housekeeping requirements.
  • Support the team by performing additional duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial bindery experience required.
  • Experience setting up and operating cutting and folding equipment in a commercial printing environment required.
  • Experience setting up and operating saddle stitching equipment strongly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work safely, follow procedures, and support a team-focused production environment.
