Job description

Essential Job Functions
  • Monitors the status of shipments from pickup through delivery
  • Enters shipment location, date and time into TMS
  • Contacts carriers and drivers via phone, email or internet to determine driver location
  • Escalates potential or existing service failures to Carrier Sales and Business Development
  • Works closely with Account Managers, Account Executives and Carrier Sales Representatives to ensure service level expectations are achieved and clients are informed of shipment status
  • Secures shipment and carrier documentation (bills of lading, PODs, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned

Other Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of US Geography
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Works well in a team environment

Physical Requirements
  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus

Education & Experience
