This is a part-time position working either remotely (must work in Arkansas or North Carolina) or in person (Rogers, AR). The work schedule will be afternoons only.

Summary  

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Biller to join our team.  The ideal candidate understands medical insurance eligibility, benefits, claim processing, and payer requirements. Candidates should have a commitment to upholding our core values of teamwork, excellence, compassion, integrity, and commitment.  This role involves ensuring accurate and timely submittal of claims and maintaining compliance with all regulations.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Process and submit claims to insurance companies. 
  • Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve billing issues. 
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to medical billing. 
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve billing processes. 
  • Maintain accurate records of billing activities. 
  • Provide support to other members of the billing team as needed. 

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and coding.  
  • Must understand medical insurance eligibility, benefits, claim processing, and payer requirements.  
  • Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Experience with Athena billing software is highly desirable.
