DBE UTILITY SERVICES is seeking a full-time Sr. Project Manager for the Water/Wastewater and Large HDD at the Jacksonville, FL office. Minimum of 5 years of senior project management experience in underground utilities required.
Sr. Project Manager Position Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Estimator/Sr. Project Manager experience in W/WW underground utility construction.
  • The Sr. PM fosters a positive and collaborative team environment, promotes best practices in project management, and mentors team members to enhance overall project delivery. Additionally, the Sr. PM ensures continuous alignment with organizational goals and drives process improvements for future projects.
  • Provide overall management of projects from estimating to construction closeout including but not limited to bidding, procurement, project controls, constructability reviews, material management, pre-construction, construction management, financial tracking and budgeting, progress meetings, final walk throughs, and final closeout.
  • A versatile employee bringing a well-rounded understanding of both office and field operations.
  • Promoting open and continuous communication between various customers, departments, and personnel.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules, manage scope, and control project costs.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of several disciplines on a project of moderate scope and/or a combination of smaller projects
  • Report regularly on progress, cost and schedule metrics, procurement issues, safety or environmental concerns, design questions, potential impacts, and any issues requiring office support.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to job sites and client meetings located within the Southeast. Occasional overnight stays due to distance may be required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
  • Responsibilities include document control and handling, coordination of project requirements between the field, office, and municipalities.
  • Relate to daily activities, whereabouts and progress of multiple construction crews and their projects.
  • Must be a self-starter who can work independently.
  • Other duties as assigned.
