Job description

Capital Brand Group, LLC (CBG) is hiring two (2) Production Control Clerks to support our federal Building Maintenance & Operations contract with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), covering facilities across the San Diego and El Centro sectors.

Location: San Diego, CA — Project Management Office

Openings: 2

Pay Rate: $30.47/hour (full-time, non-exempt, SCA-covered)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Reports To: Contract Manager / Project Management Office

POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Control Clerk is the operational hub of the contract. You receive, classify, schedule, and track every preventive maintenance action, service call, and repair work order across CBP facilities in the San Diego and El Centro sectors — from the moment a call comes in until the work order is closed and verified.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Receive and classify incoming service calls as Emergency, Urgent, or Routine, and dispatch the appropriate technician based on priority and proximity

- Enter, update, and close work orders in TRIRIGA (the government CMMS), ensuring every required data field is complete: technician name, work performed, equipment/asset ID, parts used, time and date, BE/BU number, CBP verifier, and priority classification

- Upload field work order tickets to TRIRIGA within five (5) working days of completion, including the signature of the CBP personnel who verified the work

- Maintain the master preventive maintenance, inspection, and testing schedule for all contract locations

- Build and distribute monthly technician schedules with geospatial routing for efficient travel between sites

- Monitor vehicle geo-tracking to support rapid emergency dispatch

- Track permits, certifications, and renewal dates within the CMMS

- Coordinate subcontractor scheduling and site access

- Provide estimating support for repair work orders, assisted by Service Managers and the Contract Manager

- Support monthly work order reporting submitted with invoicing

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma or GED

- Two (2)+ years of experience in work order control, dispatch, maintenance scheduling, or production control — preferably in a facilities O&M or federal contract environment

- Proficiency with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); TRIRIGA, Maximo, or comparable

- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook

- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable CBP Background Investigation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Direct TRIRIGA experience

- Prior experience supporting a CBP, DHS, or GSA facilities maintenance contract

- Familiarity with SCA-covered contract documentation and payroll support

- Bilingual English/Spanish

SECURITY REQUIREMENT

All positions require the ability to obtain and maintain a favorable CBP Background Investigation. Candidates will complete the Background Investigation Requirements Determination (BIRD) document and a Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) authorization form. Employment is contingent on successful pre-employment screening, including county, national, and federal criminal database searches and drug screening. Employees may begin work while the BI is in process but must be escorted at all times by a badged employee until final favorable adjudication. Any employee whose BI is placed on hold or returns unfavorable will be removed from the contract until a favorable determination is obtained.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed at CBP-owned and leased facilities across Southern California, including Border Patrol stations, checkpoints, ports of entry, and firing ranges. Government normal duty hours are Monday through Friday, 0700–1600. No work is scheduled on federal holidays. Emergency situations — service disruptions, unscheduled outages, contingency incidents — may require work outside normal duty hours.

COMPENSATION NOTE

Positions identified as SCA-covered are compensated in accordance with the applicable Service Contract Act Wage Determination for Southern California, including the required health and welfare fringe benefit, paid vacation, and paid holidays.
