Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Salary: $95,000-$110,000 annually (based on experience)

Kelly Services is seeking a Bilingual Production Planning Manager to lead production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and manufacturing operations for a growing fabrication facility. This position is responsible for aligning customer demand with production capacity, ensuring on-time delivery, optimizing inventory levels, and driving operational efficiency across the plant.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in production planning, supply chain coordination, inventory control, and manufacturing leadership, while serving as a key liaison between customers, sales, operations, and production teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demand, delivery requirements, and operational objectives
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service, procurement, and manufacturing teams to align production plans with customer forecasts and order requirements
  • Monitor production capacity, labor utilization, and inventory levels to ensure efficient operations
  • Lead and supervise a team of 50+ fabrication employees while maintaining accountability for production performance
  • Analyze customer demand trends and forecast requirements to support material planning and resource allocation
  • Manage workflow by assigning responsibilities, setting priorities, and preparing schedules
  • Ensure on-time order fulfillment and proactively address potential production delays or supply chain disruptions
  • Oversee inventory management processes, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to increase operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve customer satisfaction
  • Perform verification of production output according to specifications and quality standards
  • Develop and present reports on production performance, scheduling effectiveness, inventory metrics, and customer service levels
  • Manage and drive departmental P&L performance
  • Oversee safe operation of equipment and coordinate preventive maintenance schedules
  • Train, coach, and develop employees while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Production Planning, Production Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, or a related leadership role
  • Experience creating and managing production schedules in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, and capacity planning
  • Experience working directly with customers to balance production requirements and delivery expectations
  • Proven leadership experience managing manufacturing teams
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems for production planning and inventory control
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Results-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
