Bilingual Lead Pastor - Westside Church Internacional

Westside Church Internacional, a vibrant multicultural community in Denver, is striving to do something uncommon in the modern church landscape. We intentionally value the shared experience of worshipping and growing together over the convenience of a single language, culture, or demographic.

We are currently seeking a Lead Pastor to guide our congregation into deeper intimacy with Christ and one another. This roll with collaborate with our staff and elders in actively building this environment through alternating English and Spanish worship services, small groups, and events that combine multiple generations and cultures.

Core Responsibilities

  • Teaching & Preaching: Deliver variety in preaching, with a strong Bible exposition and theological soundness.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrate the ability to transition fluidly between languages and cultural contexts during services and ministry activities.
  • Leadership: Organize staff and volunteers to accomplish church events and Sunday Services. Lead collaboratively, balancing the responsibilities of authority with seeking and building consensus from others, including the elders and existing staff.
  • Relational Care: Prioritize empathy and hospitality, valuing the relational community as a core aspect of pastoral care.

Key Qualifications

  • Divine Calling: A clear calling from God and a passion for working in a bilingual / multicultural / multigenerational environment.
  • Linguistic Proficiency: Fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to adjust communication styles based on the audience.
  • Educational Foundation: Seminary graduate.
  • Ecclesiastical Standing: Agreement with Wesleyan statement of faith and position papers,
  • Experience: 7+ years of pastoral experience
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Competency in navigating cultural differences
  • Spiritual Maturity: A deep personal relationship with Jesus, characterized by a commitment to study and prayer.
