Clinic RN – Pediatrics (Ambulatory)
Location: Glenwood Springs, CO
Schedule: 5×8-hour shifts per week, with potential rotating Saturday mornings
Type: 13-Week Contract | Ambulatory Pediatric Clinic ​

Position overview

An experienced Pediatric Clinic RN is needed to provide compassionate, family-centered care in a busy ambulatory pediatric practice in Glenwood Springs, CO. This role is ideal for a bilingual nurse who excels in patient education, vaccine administration, and coordination of care for children and their families in an outpatient setting.​

What you’ll do

  • Deliver direct nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents, including intake, assessments, and follow-up visits in an ambulatory pediatric clinic.​

  • Perform pediatric vaccinations, blood draws, and CLIA-waived point-of-care tests according to age-appropriate guidelines and clinic protocols.​

  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, vaccines, and health maintenance in both English and Spanish.​

  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in Athena EMR, supporting safe, coordinated, and compliant care.​

  • Collaborate closely with pediatric providers, MAs, and other clinic staff to support smooth patient flow and high-quality service.​

  • Adhere to infection control standards, safety procedures, and all clinic policies, including immunization and occupational health requirements.​

Qualifications

  • Active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license.​

  • Minimum of 5 years of pediatric outpatient or ambulatory clinic nursing experience.​

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required), with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse families.​

  • Experience administering pediatric vaccines, performing blood draws, and conducting CLIA-waived testing.​

  • Current BLS (AHA) certification and proof of current influenza vaccination (no exemptions).​

  • Strong communication, organizational, and patient-education skills, with a commitment to family-centered pediatric care.​
