Job description

The Appleton Area School District has a position available for a 0.5 FTE Assistant Administrative Assistant at Huntley Elementary School, Appleton Bilingual School, and The Omolad Academy beginning on 8/24/2026.


Salary: Starting at $20.36
Schedule: 17.5 hours/week (M-F 3.5 hours/day) 
Classification/Contract Days: Class II, 10.5 month
Qualifications: High School Diploma, Bilingual in Spanish and English

What you'll do 
This position ensures the seamless delivery of services by managing the front office and serving as the primary point of contact for ABS families, staff, and the public. Key responsibilities include monitoring school safety through visitor screening, coordinating the Principal's calendar, and managing comprehensive site communications, including drafting newsletters and handling emergency announcements. This role is deeply involved in student advocacy, maintaining all legal student records, managing daily attendance, and producing critical truancy and state reports. In addition to clerical excellence, the position oversees essential operational logistics, including health room management and medication dispensation, site bookkeeping, and charter lottery and enrollment procedures.
