Bilingual Investigator Jobs (NOW HIRING)

The Bilingual Sub Investigator provides comprehensive medical evaluation and care to volunteers enrolled in clinical research studies, working closely with the Principal Investigator and a multidisciplinary health care team. This role includes screening new volunteers, managing their medical needs throughout study participation in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and providing follow-up care as needed. The Sub Investigator independently assesses acute and non-acute clinical problems and toxicities, integrates nursing and medical expertise into practice, and ensures clear, compassionate communication with volunteers and internal departments.

• Provide medical evaluation and ongoing care to volunteers enrolled in clinical research studies in collaboration with the Principal Investigator and multidisciplinary health care team.
• Screen new volunteers medically for study eligibility, including conducting and documenting physical assessments and medical histories.
• Independently assess acute and non-acute clinical problems and toxicities, and determine appropriate clinical responses.
• Monitor, document, and communicate clinical findings to Principal Investigators, including recommendations for appropriate interventions.
• Analyze trends in volunteer conditions and develop, document, and implement individualized management plans based on collected data.
• Serve as an associate investigator on research protocols, supporting protocol adherence and study integrity.
• Maintain a high level of clinical competence in the relevant specialty area, integrating the art and science of nursing and medicine into daily practice.
• Provide follow-up care to volunteers after active study participation, ensuring continuity of care and appropriate referrals when needed.
• Collaborate effectively with other departments and research staff to coordinate volunteer care and study procedures.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with volunteers, addressing questions and concerns to support understanding and adherence to study requirements.

• At least 1 year of previous clinical research experience working directly with clinicians and providers.
• Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Texas, or licensure as a Physician Assistant in Texas.
• Advanced understanding of regulations governing clinical research, including CFR, GCP, and HIPAA.
• Advanced understanding of statutes and guidelines relevant to regulatory affairs in clinical research.
• Ability to independently assess and manage acute and non-acute clinical problems and toxicities.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills, including physical examinations and medical histories.
• Ability to develop and implement volunteer management plans based on clinical data and observed trends.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with volunteers, Principal Investigators, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health care and research environment.

• Experience serving as an associate or sub investigator on clinical research protocols.
• Familiarity with, or the ability to learn, clinical trial management system software.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate nursing and medical perspectives into clinical research practice.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple volunteers and study requirements concurrently.
• Attention to detail in monitoring, documenting, and reporting clinical findings and study-related data.
• Comfort working in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings within a research environment.
• Bilingual communication skills to support diverse volunteer populations.

This position is based onsite in Houston, Texas, within a clinical research setting that includes both inpatient and outpatient care areas. The role involves close collaboration with Principal Investigators, clinicians, and multidisciplinary health care and research teams. The Sub Investigator may travel to another affiliated site within Texas as needed to support study activities. Clinical trial management system software and other research-specific tools are used to document and manage study data. The environment emphasizes regulatory compliance, high-quality clinical care, and clear communication with volunteers participating in research.

This is a Permanent position based out of Houston, TX.

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $135000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
