Bilingual HR Generalist / Human Resources Specialist
Spanish/English | Direct Hire | Piscataway, NJ

United Staffing Solutions is representing a growing packaging manufacturer and retailer in their search for an experienced HR professional to join their team immediately. This is a direct hire opportunity within a small, fast-paced HR department that requires someone who can work independently with minimal training.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on HR and NJ payroll experience, strong knowledge of New Jersey labor laws, and the ability to manage multiple HR functions with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail.

Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday 8AMโ€“5PM

Salary: $58,000 โ€“ $65,000 annually depending on experience

Location: Fully onsite in Piscataway, NJ
Hiring: Immediate direct hire/permanent opportunity

Responsibilities for the HR Generalist:

  • Processing payroll for approximately 124 hourly employees and 33 salaried employees
  • Handling child support orders, garnishments, and payroll-related deductions
  • Managing workersโ€™ compensation claims and incident reports
  • Supporting employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion
  • Preparing verification of employment letters and employment documentation
  • Maintaining organized employee files and HR records through SharePoint
  • Running employee and payroll-related reports
  • Handling OSHA form filings and liaising during OSHA investigations
  • Communicating with the Department of Labor and providing requested reports
  • Recruiting through Indeed, walk-ins, and employee referrals
  • Screening, interviewing, onboarding, and offboarding employees
  • Supporting HR compliance and day-to-day HR operations
  • Managing HR processes for both onsite and remote employees

Requirements for the HR Generalist:

  • Minimum 2 years of HR and payroll experience required
  • Experience processing New Jersey payroll is REQUIRED
  • Strong understanding of NJ labor laws and compliance requirements
  • Experience handling HR functions with limited supervision
  • Bilingual Spanish/English REQUIRED
  • Experience with Excelforce HR/payroll software preferred
  • Experience using SharePoint for employee file management preferred
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professional, respectful, empathetic, and dependable demeanor
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
