Application Engineer Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Mechanical or Electrical preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Fluency and strong communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • Experience with electro-mechanical products
  • Familiarity with National Electric Code and UL test standards
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Effective communication and writing skillsAbility to excel both independently and as part of a team

Application Engineer Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via email and phone regarding product selection, application support, and problem resolution
  • Provide technical support for internal and external customers, including our subsidiary in Mexico
  • Quote custom engineered products based on core device offerings
  • Travel to customer sites to inspect applications and address installation issues
  • Assist in certification and new product development projects as needed
  • Monitor the engineering department’s inbox to ensure timely support
