Job description

Bilingual Customer Service Representative Our client is seeking a Bilingual Customer Service Representative to serve as the primary point of contact for customers visiting our showroom and contacting us by phone. This role combines customer service, sales support, and order processing responsibilities and is ideal for someone with construction industry experience or strong knowledge of construction materials and products. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service, assist customers in selecting products, process orders accurately, and help maintain efficient inventory and order management processes. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity located in Chicago, IL. Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers in the showroom, assess their needs, and provide product recommendations based on project requirements and applications.
  • Assist customers with product selection by explaining features, specifications, pricing, and availability of construction-related products and materials.
  • Process customer orders accurately, including order entry, quotations, pricing verification, and order follow-up activities.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries regarding products, inventory availability, order status, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Research and locate parts, materials, and inventory using company systems to ensure customers receive accurate and timely information.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure product availability and timely fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Resolve customer concerns, order discrepancies, and service issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, order documentation, and inventory-related information within company systems.
  • Support showroom organization and product displays to maintain a professional and welcoming environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, vendors, and internal team members.
Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Previous customer service, sales support, or order entry experience preferred.
  • Construction industry experience or knowledge of construction products, building materials, hardware, or related industries strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers both in person and over the phone.
  • Experience using computer systems for order entry, inventory lookup, and customer information management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
