Job description

The primary purpose of the Bilingual Customer Service Representative conduct account research, account documentation and verification. Also, primary responsibility is handling clients and debtor’s requests. Account review updating and general departmental duties. Assist with maintaining all incoming and outgoing correspondence payments in a timely manner for clients. Customer Service Representative will utilize various collections strategies and methodologies to attempt to contact consumers to negotiate payment in full of payment arrangements on debt within federal, state, and client collection guidelines and laws.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attain working knowledge of the Client’s processes and requirements and be able to communicate this in a professional matter.
  • Handle incoming mail process, incoming faxes, and scanned documents
  • Review and process of check payments and walk-up payments
  • Change status codes in Cubs
  • Enter notes in client database
  • Skip Tracing – Conducts record searches for vehicle plate and vin #, debtor information, verify death records, bankruptcies.
  • Verifies account balances and makes account adjustments
  • Research validation of debt requests and act as a client liaison to gather required documents to submit to debtors per their requests.
  • Prepare response letters to debtor’s disputes and consumer letters.
  • Find and retrieve information from files.
  • Support call center agent’s requests regarding account maintenance.


Experience, Competencies and Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Talking to others to convey information effectively and professionally.
  • Well organized in taking and processing payments.
  • Required 1 year of customer service experience
  • Intermediate level of working knowledge of CUBS preferred
  • Intermediate level of working knowledge of clients’ needs, debt types preferred
  • Intermediate skills of computer (internet, email, Microsoft suite), typing skills
  • Organizational Skills
  • Proper Grammar and Written Communication skills
  • Self-Motivated
  • Takes initiative
  • Work independently with little oversight
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
