Position Overview:
As a Bike Sales Associate, you will be the go-to expert for customers seeking bicycles, cycling gear, and accessories. You will provide exceptional customer service, assist with bike selection and fittings, and ensure every rider leaves with the best equipment for their needs. Additionally, you will support store operations, register transactions, and consignment services.


Key Responsibilities:
Bike Sales & Customer Service
  • Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and professional customer service to every visitor.
  • Assist customers in selecting the right bike, accessories, and gear based on their needs, experience level, and budget.
  • Provide basic bike fitting assistance to ensure comfort and proper sizing.
  • Educate customers on bike maintenance, repair services, and riding safety.
Register & Sales Transactions
  • Efficiently process sales, returns, and exchanges at the register.
  • Maintain accuracy in handling payments, discounts, and promotions.
  • Work at the register as needed based on customer volume (typically 1-3 days per week).
Consignment Services
  • Assist with bike and cycling gear consignment intake, ensuring quality control.
  • Provide clear, friendly communication with consignment customers.
  • Work in the consignment department as scheduled (typically 1-2 days per week).
Store Operations & Maintenance
  • Keep the store and related areas clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Ensure sales floors, bike displays, and fitting areas are visually appealing and functional.
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed.
  • Provide coverage in other areas of the Sales Operations department as needed

Requirements


  • Prior retail or customer service experience, preferably in bike sales or outdoor gear.
  • Passion for cycling and knowledge of different bike types, components, and accessories.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable using computer systems for sales, inventory, and customer communication.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver bikes and gear as needed.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
