What is bid management?

Bid management is the process of overseeing and coordinating the creation and submission of proposals or bids for projects, contracts, or business opportunities. It involves evaluating the requirements of a request for proposal (RFP), gathering necessary information, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring that the bid is competitive and compliant. Bid managers play a crucial role in increasing a company's chances of winning contracts by delivering high-quality, timely submissions. Their responsibilities often include project management, risk assessment, cost estimation, and communication with stakeholders.

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills help in coordinating teams and managing tight deadlines. These competencies ensure high-quality, competitive bids that maximize win rates and drive business growth.
