Job description

Location: To'haali Community School, Newcomb, NM
Summary:
Provide in-person occupational therapy services to identified or referred students at To'haali Community School. Services include OT evaluations, therapy, IEP/multidisciplinary team support, teacher consultation, progress reporting, and required documentation. Work must comply with BIE, IDEA, State of New Mexico, and school requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations for referred students.
  • Review student records, educational history, medical information, and teacher input.
  • Provide individual or group OT services based on student IEPs.
  • Attend IEP and multidisciplinary placement meetings.
  • Develop goals and objectives for student IEPs.
  • Consult with special education and classroom teachers.
  • Provide parent or guardian consultation when needed.
  • Maintain therapy logs, mileage logs, progress reports, confidential reports, and NASIS documentation.
  • Submit reports within required timelines and protect student confidentiality.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current New Mexico Occupational Therapist license or certification.
  • Experience working with special education students preferred.
  • Ability to provide in-person services during school hours.
