Overview
We are seeking a Business Intelligence Architect to lead the design, governance, and evolution of our enterprise BI environment. This role will own the architecture behind enterprise reporting and analytics, ensuring scalable, high-performing solutions that enable users across the organization to make informed business decisions.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines enterprise architecture, dimensional modeling, semantic layer design, advanced analytics development, technical mentorship, and platform governance. The ideal candidate has deep experience building enterprise data warehouses, designing Power BI semantic models, and optimizing complex DAX solutions.
What You'll Do
  • Develop and maintain the long-term Business Intelligence platform roadmap aligned with enterprise data strategy.
  • Design and implement dimensional data models using Kimball methodology, including fact tables, dimension tables, and enterprise data marts.
  • Own the architecture and governance of Power BI semantic models, datasets, and reporting standards.
  • Lead design efforts within Microsoft Fabric, Power BI Premium, and SSAS Tabular environments.
  • Define and enforce best practices across data modeling, DAX development, naming conventions, security, and performance optimization.
  • Build advanced DAX calculations and provide technical guidance for complex reporting requirements.
  • Optimize semantic models, datasets, and reporting environments for scalability and performance.
  • Manage platform administration including capacities, gateways, deployment pipelines, workspace governance, and lifecycle management.
  • Partner with Data Engineering and Data Architecture teams to ensure alignment across enterprise data platforms.
  • Review solutions, mentor developers, and provide technical leadership for offshore development resources.
  • Support compliance, audit readiness, and security standards including Row Level Security and Object Level Security implementations.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience building enterprise dimensional models using Kimball methodology.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development and semantic model design.
  • 5+ years of experience with SSAS Tabular and Power BI datasets.
  • Advanced expertise in DAX, Tabular modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Strong experience with Enterprise Data Warehouse architectures and data marts.
  • Expert-level Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric including Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, and Direct Lake architectures.
  • Experience with deployment pipelines, source control, and enterprise BI governance.
  • Experience supporting Azure-based data movement and ETL solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with DAX Studio and Tabular Editor.
  • Experience implementing Row Level Security and Object Level Security.
  • Background leading BI development teams or mentoring developers.
  • Experience managing enterprise Power BI Premium environments.
