Job description

Company Overview
LP Analyst is a leading independent private asset cloud-based analytics and consulting solutions firm that works closely with many of the industry's most prominent institutional investors (LPs) and fund managers (GPs) to get better, more actionable decision-making intelligence into the hands of today's demanding investors.
Our firm truly sits at the intersection of private asset analytics and consulting which means we take both a highly quantitative and qualitative approach to tackling big challenges and developing cutting-edge solutions for our clients.
If you are a high achiever with a passion for learning about the private asset analytics and consulting landscape while also being part of a strong, motivated and innovative team of forward-thinking professionals, LP Analyst might be the right place for you.
LP Analyst encourages and promotes diversity within its team. Women, minorities, people with disabilities, veterans and members of all underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply.
Job Summary
LP Analyst is seeking a highly motivated and product-minded individual to join our Client Strategic Development team as an Associate Product Manager. This role supports the analytics products our clients use every day, spanning product support, requirements definition, and the ongoing development and commercialization of our client-facing offerings.
You will work closely with our client services and business development teams to understand client reporting and analytics needs, and coordinate with internal product, data, and development teams to deliver against them.
Experience with Power BI, Power Platform, SQL, and Microsoft Fabric is valuable and you will work with each of them in this role. This position prioritizes product thinking, problem solving, and the ability to learn new tools over depth in any single technology.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain client-facing analytics products in production, including Power BI reporting, client applications, and data delivery
  • Manage the intake, triage, and resolution of client-reported issues and enhancement requests
  • Partner with the client services team to respond to client questions regarding product functionality, data, and reporting
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend product-level solutions in place of repeated manual workarounds
  • Gather and document business requirements from the client services team and client stakeholders, and translate them into scoped, prioritized work
  • Coordinate with data engineering and software development teams to move client requests through delivery
  • Support development work originating from new client implementations
  • Validate delivered work against requirements using SQL, Excel, and Power BI
  • Identify opportunities to generalize client-specific solutions into repeatable product offerings
  • Support the evaluation, packaging, and positioning of new product offerings
  • Research and evaluate new functionality for client-facing BI and analytics platforms
  • Coordinate with the client services team on client-facing change management activities, including advance notification, documentation, and rollout communication
  • Track timelines and priorities across concurrent client initiatives and provide status updates to stakeholders
  • Maintain technical and process documentation for client products
  • Identify and implement AI-enabled tools and workflows to improve efficiency, consistency, and turnaround time across client delivery

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related discipline
  • 1-4 years of experience in product management, business analysis, client solutions, consulting, or analytics in a technology-driven or data-driven organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous business problems and drive them to resolution
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working directly with external clients or business stakeholders, and collaborating across client-facing and technical teams
  • High self-motivation with the ability to learn new tools and domains quickly, meet deadlines, and take on additional responsibility
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write basic queries (SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, GROUP BY) to validate data and support testing
  • Familiarity with Power BI or a comparable business intelligence tool
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Experience with project management and backlog tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, Asana)
  • Experience in financial services, private markets, or investment reporting is strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI and DAX, Power Apps, or Power Automate is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or comparable cloud data platforms is a plus
  • Applied experience using AI tools and assistants to improve business or delivery processes is preferred
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for this position

Why LP Analyst?
  • Comprehensive onboarding and training programs, including a structured Private Asset Training Program and regular business/industry teach-ins
  • A defined career path within the product team, with opportunities for advancement to Product Manager and beyond
  • Opportunity to build valuable professional skills early in your career, including communication, organization, and leadership, by working on a dynamic and growing team with cross-functional exposure
  • Exposure to a wide range of strategies (private equity, venture capital, real estate, infrastructure, credit), with the opportunity to specialize in areas of interest
  • High-impact role providing transparency to the world's leading institutional investors
  • Collaborative, high-performing team culture with smart, supportive colleagues
  • Company-sponsored 401(k) plan, healthcare, and dental insurance
  • Competitive compensation and fully paid parental leave
  • Generous paid time off that increases with tenure, plus an annual volunteer day
  • Casual dress code, frequent team events, and a downtown Dallas office with paid parking, free snacks, and other perks
