Overview

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer combines report development, user training and support, and data modeling expertise to help transform business data into actionable insights. In addition to performing hands-on technical work, you will be a go-to representative of the BI team for the rest of the organization. The ideal candidate will be proficient technically in Power BI (including data modeling, DAX, and report development) while also being comfortable working closely with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality analytics solutions.

Hybrid role at our downtown Corporate location or Sun Prairie location 


Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI reporting for multiple business areas.
  • Partner with other departments (product, sales, marketing, R&D) understanding their usage and turning their requests into dashboards
  • Build and maintain semantic models and DAX measures in Power BI.
  • Work with business users to understand requirements for new requests.
  • Provide training, support, and guidance to end users and user-developers to maximize adoption and understanding of BI tools.
  • Collaborate with the BI team to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
  • Identify opportunities to improve analytics processes, tools, and standards.

Qualifications
  • Strong experience in Power BI, including report development, Power Query, DAX formulas, and managing user environments in the Power BI Service.
  • SQL experience strongly preferred
  • Experience providing end-user training and support in a BI environment.
  • Ability to create a dashboard with a focus on continuous improvement based on customer and business needs
  • Effective change management and project management skills
  • Ability to solicit feedback to understand user needs, display attentive listening skills, and a customer service mindset
