Operating Systems & BI Project Manager – Retail Operations

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Database Integration & Business Intelligence Project Manager to design, develop, and manage database integrations across our internal software ecosystem. This role will be responsible for creating secure, reliable, and scalable database connections that enable seamless data flow between applications while supporting reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives using Microsoft Power BI.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in database development and systems integration with proven project management skills to lead cross-functional initiatives from planning through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Database Development & Integration

  • Design, develop, and maintain database integrations between internal software applications, third-party systems, and cloud platforms.
  • Create and optimize database connections, ETL/ELT processes, APIs, and automated data workflows.
  • Develop and maintain SQL scripts, stored procedures, views, and database objects.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, security, and performance across integrated systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database connectivity, synchronization, and performance issues.
  • Support database migrations, upgrades, and system enhancements.

Business Intelligence & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain Power BI datasets, data models, dashboards, and reports.
  • Build and manage secure data connections between Power BI and multiple data sources.
  • Optimize reporting performance and data refresh processes.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify reporting needs and deliver actionable business intelligence solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in database development, systems integration, or data engineering.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar relational database platforms.

  • Experience developing ETL/ELT processes and integrating data from multiple systems.
  • Hands-on experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and data connections.
