About the Position

This position is the subject matter expert for Power BI development and reporting related to all company needs. This individualis responsible fornetworking with stakeholders, setting realistic expectations, and designing/developing Power BI solutions that best meet the enterprise needs of Kenco Group. This position also manages andmonitorsthe Power BI environment and platform strategy, including governance, licensing, capacity, and administration of the BI software and infrastructure. This position will also act as a technical lead for the BI Team and will support Advanced Data Analytics (AI/Machine Learning) efforts. This position will report to the Manager of Business Intelligence.

Functions

  • Answer any technical questions (researching as needed) and lead the BI Team in Power BI technical innovation.

  • Gather requirements from all necessary corporate business sponsors for future BI development.

  • Communicate requirements to the BI Team for planning andtranslateto technical specifications for the ETL Team.

  • Design, develop, test, andvalidatedashboards/reports,based upon best practices, using Power BI.

  • Manage andmonitorthe Power BI environment and platform strategy, including governance, tenant settings, capacity planning, licensing, workspace management, and deployment pipelines.

  • Assistend-users with necessary training to make them proficient users.

  • Document processes, flows, policies, and procedures and other misc. tasks as assigned by the Manager.

  • 24/7 rotational on-call BI technical support.

  • Routinely perform analysis and make presentations to key business take holders, including customers.

  • This position supports the Kenco Operating System (KOS) model of cultural transformation through the integration of operational excellence principles across the enterprise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University in Information Technology, Statistics or related field isrequired. Masters preferred.

  • 3-5 Years of Warehousing/Logistics/Transportation Industry experience preferred.

  • 5-7 Years gathering requirements and designing/developing Power BI dashboards.

  • 5-7 Years of experience in SQL development.

  • 2-4 Years of experience with AWS infrastructure support (EC2, Step Functions, Lambda), preferred.

  • 2-4 Years of experience with Power BI Administration through QMC.

  • BI Requirements Gathering: People networking and documenting and translating requirements to ETL/Technical Specs.

  • Advanced Power BI Development: Data Modeling, Data ingestion, DAX, Dashboard design/development.

  • Power BI Environment & Platform Management -Proficiencyin:governance and tenant settings, capacity planning and monitoring, licensing and workspace management, row-level security, deployment pipelines, gateways and data connectivity, and long-term platform scaling strategy.

  • Understanding of data warehouse purpose and design practices (schema types, typical structure, SSMS)

  • Keen eye for detail and thoughtful investigation of data before relying upon it.

  • Depth and breadth in quantitativeanalysisknowledge.

  • Excellent quantitative modeling, statistical analysis, and problem-solving skills
