What is a BI manager?

BI Managers, or Business Intelligence Managers, oversee the strategy, implementation, and management of business intelligence systems within an organization. They lead teams that analyze data to help companies make informed business decisions and improve processes. Their responsibilities include managing BI tools, coordinating data analysis projects, and ensuring that data-driven insights align with organizational goals. BI Managers often collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and executive leadership to support data-driven decision making.

How do BI managers typically collaborate with other departments to ensure data-driven decision-making?

BI Managers regularly work with stakeholders across departments such as marketing, finance, and operations to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights. They facilitate communication between technical teams (like data analysts and engineers) and business units, ensuring that data solutions align with organizational goals. Job description

Job Description

At WSFS Bank, we empower our Associates to grow their careers, guide our customers to secure their financial futures, and actively support our Communities so they can fully thrive. Careers with WSFS Bank offer an inclusive and supportive culture, competitive salaries, advancement opportunities, and more. We are the region's locally headquartered bank and wealth management company. We are honored to consistently be named a Top Workplace by our Associates, who make a difference every day for the people, businesses, and Communities we serve. We Stand For Service is more than part of our name, it's our mission and our purpose.

The Fraud Product Manager will build and lead a dedicated product management function focused on fraud risk and controls across the Consumer Bank, establishing a strategic framework to strengthen fraud prevention, detection, and customer protection. You'll dig into how fraud controls work today across deposits, digital banking, debit, home lending, business banking, and payments, then turn what you find into a prioritized roadmap and partner across the enterprise to act. This role stays close to the details by design. You'll spend real time in the weeds with rules, thresholds, alert queues, and false-positive rates, while also owning the full product management toolkit, writing requirements, managing vendors, building business cases, and briefing senior leadership.

There's meaningful room for this role to grow as the fraud domain matures and the roadmap comes to life. You'll be one of the first people to define what "owning fraud as a product" looks like at WSFS, and the work you do early on will shape how the bank protects its clients for years to come.

This is a full-time onsite position based in Wilmington, DE.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a comprehensive current-state assessment of fraud risk and controls across all Consumer Bank product lines.
  • Map and document the existing fraud technology stack, including tools, vendors, integrations, and data flows.
  • Evaluate how effectively current fraud tooling is configured and used, including rules, thresholds, alert workflows, false-positive rates, and coverage gaps.
  • Identify gaps and vulnerabilities in current fraud prevention and detection capabilities across channels (online, mobile, card, ACH/wire, branch).
  • Research and recommend additional tools, vendors, or capabilities needed to close identified gaps.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, technology, fraud, risk, compliance, and operations teams to build shared understanding of fraud exposure and priorities.
  • Build a prioritized roadmap of fraud initiatives, each supported by a clear business case covering risk reduction, cost, effort, and client impact.
  • Partner with our Fraud team to build and maintain fraud analytics and reporting that leadership can use, including loss trends, fraud rates by channel and product, alert volume and disposition, and false-positive rates.
  • Establish a regular reporting cadence to senior leadership on fraud performance, emerging risks, and the impact of initiatives already in flight.
  • Take ownership of fraud as a product domain, including requirements, vendor management, roadmap, and performance metrics.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in fraud analytics, risk management, or product roles, within banking or fintech.
  • Strong analytical rigor and comfort working with data to identify patterns, gaps, and root causes.
  • Proven ability to build clear, decision-ready reporting and dashboards from raw data, and to translate numbers into a narrative senior leadership can act on.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with high autonomy and push into ambiguous, loosely structured problems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex findings into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Comfort partnering across functions (technology, risk, compliance, operations) to drive alignment without formal authority.
  • Familiarity with fraud detection platforms and concepts, including device fingerprinting, transaction monitoring, identity verification, ACH/wire fraud, and card fraud is preferred.
  • Prior exposure to fraud decisioning platforms is preferred.
  • Experience writing product requirements or working alongside a product team is preferred.
  • Banking or financial services domain knowledge across deposits, cards, or lending is preferred.
  • Experience with reporting or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL) to build and maintain fraud metrics and dashboards is preferred.

WSFS Bank will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from WSFS Bank now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States.

Salary Range:

$77,390.00 - $127,139.75

Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate's experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
