The job of Paraprofessional-Library is done for the purposes of providing support to the instructional program, with specific responsibilities for maintaining the library collections of books and instructional materials; selecting appropriate resources for use by teachers utilizing library resources; performing clerical functions; supporting students and staff in using library resources; and assisting BHE students during Walk to Reading and library times, as well as supervising students during lunch, recess, and/or after school. Open until filled. EOE. Start date is August 17, 2026.
Duties:
  • Provide basic circulation and book shelving services, including purchasing of new books.
  • Support students in finding reading materials.
  • Supervise the circulation and organization of resources, library materials, and technology.
  • Supervise the library space and support students in a safe and productive environment.
  • General support of the administrative assistants and teachers at BHE as needed.
  • Operate under the paraprofessional pay scale and expectations.
  • Provide academic interventions as needed.
  • Operate "Book Fair" during Parent Teacher Conferences.
  • Other duties as assigned.
