Job Description
The School of Humanities and Sciences is creating a pool of qualified part-time lecturers in the Department of Art, Art History, and Architecture for possible Studio Art area course openings for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. We seek candidates to teach courses at various levels, including introductory, in the disciplines of painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, graphic design, and digital media. (Note: Photography is housed in the Park School of Communications, not Studio Art). In the studio arts, the department offers BA and BFA degrees in Art, as well as, minors in Art and Graphic Design.
Qualifications:
Successful applicants must hold a MFA, MA, or Ph.D. degree in the field, and, college teaching experience is preferred. Equivalent professional experience will be considered, depending on course and level.
