Job description

One River School of Art + Design is on an ambitious plan to "transform art education" across America and we are seeking compelling art educators to join our company and grow with us. Our company is growing rapidly, we now operate 12 locations across the country and we are expanding across the tri state area. We now have both full and part time positions at in NJ, Long Island, Westchester and CT and are opening more schools there as well.

One River has developed a new method for teaching art that makes it fun to learn while also producing compelling outcomes. We are looking for passionate instructors to teach a wide variety of classes to students of all ages that includes the following subjects: drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media and cartooning, digital art making, graphic design, photography and film. Our studios are state of the art and teaching at One River is a completely different experience than any other art program in the country.

QUALIFICATIONS for Art Instructor

  • BFA or BA required, MFA or MA strongly desired
  • Experience teaching art or digital media / design at structured or alternative programs
  • Strong technical skills and subject matter expertise
  • Significant first hand experience in making art
  • Passion for working with people and creating a fun / interactive experience
