Job Summary: Business Unit / Department Mission: Inspects, wraps, rotates, cuts, tests, and orders meat for new and existing retail customers by performing the following duties.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
Must be familiar with over 100 cuts of meat. Responsible for Market operation in Manager's absence.
Assists Manager with organization and delegation of duties, including scheduling.
Cuts meat for full and self-service cases.
Organizes and delegates the day-to-day operation of the meat market.
Places and receives meat orders, includes inventory control.
Monitors work conditions for safety and sanitation.
Cleans, sanitizes, and organizes the meat cooler, the cutting room, and the wrap station.
Performs cutting tests on the profitability of retail meat cuts.
Provides internal customer service. Assists in supervising up to 10 employees in the Market Department.
