The InterContinental Seattle Bellevue is looking for individuals who have a stellar knowledge of food & beverage, strong people-management and exceptional customer service skills, as well as a proven track record in high-volume concepts.

Our Food & Beverage Manager will oversee multiple outlets and will report to our Hotel Manager.
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
Managing, coaching, and developing a team of committed hospitality professionals.
Delivering exceptional guest and corporate experiences by setting high standards and finding new ways to exceed them.
Managing food and beverage standards to deliver against our commitment to responsible business practices.
Working closely with the Hotel Manager and finance team to set, monitor and refine budgets and drive revenue.
Multitasking to oversee multiple food and beverage outlets, banquets, and in-room dining facilities - as well as a number of managers and supervisors.

Duties include:

  • Motivating and managing a team of front of the house colleagues for food and beverage.

  • Assisting with the budget, marketing plans and objectives and managing within those approved plans.

  • Implementing and maintaining F&B sales/marketing programs.

  • Mentorship and overseeing the development of employees.

  • Hiring, training, empowering, coaching/counseling and conducting annual performance reviews.

  • Directing the implementation of the payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory and budget for food and beverage operations.

  • Coordinating food and beverage operations with other hotel departments to ensure efficient guest service.

  • Resolving guest complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.

  • Implementing procedures to increase guest and associate satisfaction.

  • Exercising quality control for both food and beverage.

  • Maintaining standards of service and ensure their implementation.

  • Performing daily walk-through to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and brand standards.

  • Coaching and counseling employees to reflect brand service standards and procedures.

  • Maintaining schedules for multiple outlets each week based on forecast and event schedules.

  • Ensuring all colleagues maintain current food and alcohol permits, at all times.

  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What are we looking for?

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.

  • 3-5 years or more of progressive hotel Food and Beverage experience.

  • Service oriented style with professional presentations skills.

  • At least3 years' experience in a senior role in a food and beverage environment.

  • Proven leadership skills.

  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line.

  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills.

  • Experience implementing new F&B concepts.

  • Must have current and valid WA food handler's and MAST permit.

  • Prior experience with POS systems preferred.
