Your role will be crucial in applying appropriate welding techniques and operating welding equipment. As part of our elite team, you'll interpret company-specific procedures to determine the best welding processes, ensuring our products meet the highest standards.

Job Summary:

As a Welder at PRL, you'll be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal and other weldable materials. You'll apply appropriate welding techniques and operate welding equipment to ensure our products meet the highest standards. Your role will be crucial in interpreting company-specific procedures to determine the best welding processes.

Job Qualifications:

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Advanced education such as an associate degree is preferred.

- Experience: 3+ years of welding-related experience.

- Skills: Ability to follow weld procedures to repair and fabricate various metals utilizing SMAW / FCAW / GMAW / GTAW. Ability to operate handheld grinders.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Understand blueprints/drawings and interpret and apply design aspects to current projects.

- Successfully pass x-ray quality internal weld test SMAW / FCAW.

- Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications.

- Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications and determine structural soundness.

- Review engineering drawings and blueprints to determine material requirements and task sequences.

- Operate overhead crane and forklift.

- Perform daily maintenance checks on equipment.

- Dimensionally inspect products using standard measuring equipment.

- Meet all quality assurance standards.

- Complete the safety training program for the welding position.

- Responsible for housekeeping in the work area.

- Follow all safety and operating instructions, policies, and procedures.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical and Mental Efforts:

- General: Extensive mobility required, some moderate to heavy lifting. Position requires the ability to lift objects weighing more than 50 pounds occasionally; walk and stand for long durations; see objects closely; and hear normal sounds with some background noises. The position requires the ability to concentrate with some interruption and attend to tasks for 45 to 60 minutes at a time.
