Manual Welder

Company Overview: Triton Metal Products, a distinguished leader in the metal fabrication industry, is renowned for crafting precision metal components and structures. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a detail-driven, consistent and reliable, quality-focused MIG or TIG welder to join our team.

Full Job Description:

  • Interpret blueprints and drawings as well as qualified weld and setup procedures.
  • Weld small and large assemblies to customer specifications, utilizing best welding processes and techniques.
  • Perform scheduled operator preventative maintenance.
  • Assess welded surfaces, structures, and components to identify errors.
  • Follow strict safety regulations such as proper PPE and equipment operation.
  • Weld components in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
  • Maintain weld gages and tooling for cleanliness and proper storage or use
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment daily
  • Provide accurate and timely communication to designated Tritons regarding production, safety, or maintenance requirements through ECRโ€™s and verbal/written contact.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
  • Ability to learn basic computer skills
  • Demonstrate understanding of basic math functions such as addition and subtraction of measurements as well as fraction to decimal and unit conversions.
  • Always attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety and productivity.
  • Strong understanding of weld quality/defect requirements.
  • Efficient with measurement tools such as squares, protractors, calipers, weld gauges and tape measures.
  • Able to fabricate assemblies, with and without fixtures.
  • Ability to learn crane and/or lift operation

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of welding experience
  • Displays dependability and reliability through consistent attendance and intent to positive thinking.
  • Maintains attention to task(s) at hand with a productive mindset
  • Demonstrates appropriate time management through best labor utilization practices
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrates best practices to minimize scrap percentages.
  • Ability to receive, follow instructions, and be a positive contributor in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and stand for most of the shift
  • Strong attention to detail and steady, methodical work style
  • Must be adaptable and with a positive attitude to help other team members
  • Must be willing and able to perform any job assignment as production levels shift and job priorities change
