Senior .NET Developer - Hybrid

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee end to end delivery of complex applications built on asp dot net mvc and core frameworks ensuring robust architecture code quality and alignment with payer domain requirements to improve operational efficiency and data reliability for business stakeholders.
  • Lead engineering planning activities by defining milestones estimating effort and coordinating hybrid team execution so that day shift delivery cycles meet stringent timelines and quality standards without requiring travel.
  • Drive design and implementation of secure scalable asp dot net core web apis that streamline integrations between payer platforms partner systems and internal tools resulting in faster claims processing and better member service outcomes.
  • Manage code development practices in vb dot net and c sharp dot net programming by establishing conventions reviewing merges and promoting reuse to optimize performance maintainability and long term sustainability of the dot net framework based solutions.
  • Coordinate closely with product owners business analysts and payer operations experts to translate domain use cases into clear technical designs thereby reducing ambiguity and ensuring that engineering output directly addresses real world payer challenges.
  • Provide hands on guidance to engineers on dot net core deployment patterns error handling logging and configuration management helping the team build resilient services that can be monitored and improved continuously.

What you need to have to be considered:

  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in ASP.NET mvc and .NET Core web api development using C# .NET to build secure scalable endpoints and responsive web front ends tailored to payer business workflows.
  • Apply deep knowledge of the dot net framework and dot net core runtime to design efficient data processing components threading models and configuration strategies suitable for transaction heavy payer environments.
  • Utilize practical experience with VB.NET and C# .NET programming to maintain and refactor mixed language codebases preserving business logic while gradually modernizing systems for higher reliability.
  • Bring solid understanding of payer domain processes such as enrollment claims adjudication billing and provider data management to ensure that technical solutions accurately reflect operational rules and constraints.
  • Use familiarity with hybrid work models collaboration tools and structured documentation habits to maintain clear communication and delivery consistency across onsite and remote engineering team members.
  • Employ strong problem solving and analytical skills to diagnose complex application issues performance bottlenecks and integration errors within payer systems and to implement sustainable corrective actions.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $60K – 117K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
