Job Description

Designs, develops, tests, and debugs software tools, flows, and methodologies used in design automation and by teams in the design of hardware products, process design, or manufacturing. Responsibilities include capturing user stories/requirements, writing both functional and test code, automating build and deployment, and/or performing unit, integration, and endtoend testing of the software tools.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's with 2+ years of experience or PhD degree with experience in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical engineering discipline.
  • Must have the required degree or expect the required degree by September 2026.
  • 6+ months of experience in the following: Solid programming and scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, or C++.
  • Experience working on Linux environments, version management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12+ months of experience in the following: Industry-standard EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys ICV, Siemens Calibre for use in physical design, place and route scripts, and DRC verification.
  • Development of job management tools on distributed systems.
  • Automate processes whether standardized through workflows, templates, and other means.
  • Knowledge of CAD software administration and deployment.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $149,600.00-245,160.00 USD The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Work Model for this Role This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
