Job description

Job Title: Shipping Material Handler
Location: New Castle, PA
  • Full-Time
  • 1st Shift (6am - 2pm) or 2nd Shift (2pm – 10pm)
  • $1 Shift Differential for 2nd Shift

What is an air curtain? An air curtain is a machine that blows a controlled stream of air across an opening to create an air seal. This air seal not only saves energy it also provides comfortable environments by keeping out bugs, dust, fumes, and extreme temperatures.
Duties and Responsibilities: Our Shipping Material Handlers enjoy a fast-paced environment, working with their hands, and can follow assembly instructions well. This position is responsible for the final step in production by packaging and shipping the air curtain units. If you take pride in your work and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, this position is for you!
General Duties
  • Create proper packaging for air curtain units
  • Ensure instructions are included in unit packaging
  • Apply necessary and required labels to packages
  • Weigh units before shipment
  • Maintain equipment in work area
  • Make specialty crates, as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace
  • Assist production in pre-assembly, as needed
Qualifications and Skills
  • Able to use a tape measure and read measurements
  • Ability to operate a crane, is a plus
  • Experience in manual and power tools
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings
Physical Demands
  • Ability to shift and push/pull up to 50 pounds consistently
  • Must be able to walk and stand upright in a stationary position for up to 4 hours at a time
  • Ability to work in seasonal unconditioned indoor air conditions
