Job description

CHILDCARE TEAM MEMBER

Family Ministry: Kids Ministry, Part-Time, Nonexempt

We exist to experience and share the love of Jesus

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Childcare Team Members provide care to children ages infant through 5th grade during Bent Tree Campus and Bent Tree sponsored events.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Passion for working with children: patient, compassionate, energetic, and nurturing
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Effective communication and listening skills for a variety of audiences
  • Exhibit and express spiritual and professional maturity
  • Ability to stay calm in the event of an accident, injury, illness, or emergency

DUTIES

  • Provide care to children ages infants through 5th grade
  • Engage, entertain, and play with children, teach Bible stories, lead in-room crafts
  • Maintain the classroom by organizing, cleaning, and disinfecting surfaces and toys
  • Follow childcare policies and protocols for safety, security, health and care of the children
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Must have experience working with children

  • Active, growing relationship with Jesus Christ
