Job Summary
DEFINITION
Under the guidance of the Executive Director, Special Services, provides supports to students who are experiencing behavioral health challenges, that interfere with the academic achievement and educational experience of students. The Therapeutic Behavioral Strategist will participate on the student's interdisciplinary Social Emotional Treatment Team, collaborate on the implementation of evidenced based strategies, and teach adaptive skills to increase functioning and reduce or extinguish interfering behaviors. The Therapeutic Behavioral Strategist will provide comprehensive behavioral support services to students, school staff, and parents, to address related challenges that limit a student from receiving full benefit from their educational experience. The Therapeutic Behavioral Strategist will manage a caseload assigned by the Lead Student Services Agent, provide direct behavior intervention services, and linkage to tiered level support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
โ€ข Facilitate social emotional learning and psycho-education classroom workshops.
โ€ข Facilitate and train students in conducting Synergies.
โ€ข Develop District wide enrichment and universal school programs based on the social emotional learning
format.
โ€ข Participate in Treatment Team Meetings to discuss and monitor student mental health progress.
โ€ข Participate in regular meetings for caseload risk management and clinical consultation.
โ€ข Modeling and demonstrating to teachers, staff, and administrators behavior intervention strategies
within the classroom setting.
โ€ข Collaborate with teaching staff and administrators on developing and implementing behavior intervention plans.
โ€ข Follow and implement comprehensive behavior support treatment plans under the guidance of a
Licensed Mental Health Clinician.
โ€ข Possess a working knowledge of evidenced based practices for individual and group behavioral intervention strategies.

  • Letter(s) of Recommendation ( Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three (3) Letters are required. MUST be SIGNED and DATED within the last six (6) months and must be specific to the position being applied to.Acceptable Signatures are: electronic document or handwritten scanned signatures (typed signatures will not be accepted))

Individuals who have completed course work at an institution in a country other than the United States must obtain a complete evaluation of foreign transcripts/degrees, prior to applying for a position, and attach a copy to the application electronically. The foreign transcripts must be evaluated by one of the approved organizations, listed on the Rialto USD website, in order to be accepted. These organizations are private enterprises who charge a fee for their services. Individuals pursuing a foreign transcript evaluation must follow the procedures outlined by the organization providing the evaluation. In all instances, original, official documentation will be required when requesting the evaluation.
