The Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinician is responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans for assigned clients. In addition, Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinician will provide individual and family therapy and other support services to assigned clients while assisting the treatment team, in the evaluation of clinical services.

What you need to be considered:

  • Master's degree required.  Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or applicable discipline preferred
  • LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT required
  • A minimum of 1 year of social work or counseling experience.  Experience working with children with challenging behaviors, developmental and/or emotional disabilities is desired
  • Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements
  • Valid Indiana driver's license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar's insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
  • Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
  • Favorably meet and maintain Damar's background screening

Essential Job FunctionsThe essential functions of this position require the physical ability and mobility needed to perform the job. This includes the ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods; occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs.; operate office equipment, including a computer keyboard; travel to other locations using private or commercial transportation; and communicate effectively to exchange information.

The position also requires the ability to recognize and respond appropriately to client behaviors, staff instructions, safety concerns, and emergencies in an environment where individuals may display aggressive, self-injurious, sexually maladaptive, elopement, or other unpredictable behaviors.

Regular and acceptable attendance, excluding approved absences and periods of leave, is also an essential function of the position.
