Job description

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 annually

We are seeking an organized and motivated Operations Manager to support high-quality behavioral health and wellness services through strong leadership and effective daily operations. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting staff, improving processes, and ensuring programs run smoothly and efficiently. Working closely with clinical and administrative teams, the Operations Manager helps drive program effectiveness by analyzing service metrics, coordinating team efforts, and supporting implementation initiatives while maintaining compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure services are efficient, consistent, and aligned with organizational standards
  • Manage staff scheduling, coverage, and attendance to maintain appropriate staffing and program continuity
  • Provide leadership and day-to-day support to staff, fostering accountability, professionalism, and a strong team culture
  • Train, coach, and develop staff to build skills, strengthen performance, and support long-term growth
  • Identify training needs and coordinate development opportunities to improve team effectivenessMonitor service metrics and performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
  • Drive operational improvements by refining workflows, strengthening processes, and implementing practical solutions
  • Support program implementation and ensure services are delivered as designed and at expected quality levels
  • Address operational challenges proactively and resolve issues in a timely, solutions-focused manner
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), using data to guide decisions and improve outcomes
  • Oversee documentation practices to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and full regulatory compliance
  • Maintain compliance with DBHDS, Medicaid, and all applicable regulatory and organizational requirements
  • Coordinate closely with clinical and administrative teams to support cohesive, effective service delivery
  • Lead or support staff meetings, focusing on performance, communication, and continuous improvement
  • Assist with administrative operations, including timesheets, payroll support, and productivity tracking
  • Promote and maintain a safe, structured, and trauma-informed environment for clients and staff


Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Human Services, Business Administration, or related field (Bachelors preferred)
  • 12 years of experience in behavioral health, addiction services, or operations/administrative support
  • Working knowledge of DBHDS regulations, ASAM criteria, and Medicaid billing basics
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records (EHR) systems
